Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
1. Assist in design and write new software programs;
2. Assist to test new programs and discover faults;
3. Assist to integrate existing software products and get incompatible platforms to work together;
4. Assist to create technical specifications and test plans;
5. Have knowledge of a few computer coding languages and platforms/environments (web, desktop, mobile etc);
6. Assist in writing operational and development documentation with technical authors;
7. Assist in maintaining systems by monitoring and correcting software defects;
8. Assist to document programming problems and resolutions for future reference.

Basic Purpose of Position
Assist to design, code, test, and troubleshoot software programs and applications. This includes configuring, coding, developing, documenting and modifying software specifications focusing mostly in the coding and implementation, testing & integration and evaluation & maintenance portions of the development life cycle. This includes translating and implementing software requirements/specifications into concise and robust programming code, testing and supporting applications using programming languages and development tools.
Conditions of Service
You will be subject to Belize Constitution (Public Service) Regulations 2014, Financial and Stores Orders, Finance and Audit (Reform) Act and any other instructions which may be issued from time to time.
Qualifications/Experience
a. Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field with 1 to 3 years of experience.
Or
Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field with 3 to 5 years of experience.
